Yesterday was a sad day in the Sports world when the helicopter Kobe Bryant was in crashed and killed everyone in it including his 13 year old daughter.
Kobe Bryant was one of the greatest basketball players in history and just 41 years old, his daughter was a rising star basketball player and just 13 years old. They had everything and anything you could ever ask for after such a successful career where Bryant went straight from high school to the NBA and went on a tear of domination in the sport. He was done playing professionally with a young family and more money than anyone could ask for with any opportunity at his finger tips.
It’s so sad to see lives cut so short but it makes you think of why we do the things we do some times and why we work so hard and spend so little time with loved ones. Why our focus is so much on our careers and not our relationships, why material things outweigh experiences. I think that tragedies like this give us an opportunity to step out of our bubble for a moment and re-evaluate what is really important.
I don’t have the answer for you, only you know if things need to change or your perspective on life needs a re-adjustment. What I do know is time is precious and keeping your loved ones close is time well spent.
