PIC : 2 years ago – That’s my support system helping me build this gym we all workout in!
As a Coach to so many people, I often wonder about the responsibility I have to make sure they’re successful in anything health and fitness. Sometimes it’s hard for me to understand the difficulties and circumstances people are in that are constantly playing against their health.
Sometimes I sit back and wrack my brain on how I can help them make more of a difference. Whether that’s the last 5 pounds they need to lose, the 10 pounds more they want to squat or getting that first 5 pounds to budge.
So what would be the 3 things or habits that would set someone up for success?
1. PREPARE to Succeed – You’ve heard it before but let me tell you that if you fail to prepare then prepare to fail. If you wake up in the morning and just expect a healthy breakfast to be sitting on your counter then you’re probably dreaming! Plan your meals the night before and make sure the ingredients you need are there to be cooked. If you don’t have a plan for your meals please contact Rach or myself and we can help you with that. Make sure you pack your gym clothes the night before, we have one member who packs the amount of t-shirts he needs in his car so he has to use them throughout the week (awesome job Mike).
2. Write down your GOALS to Succeed- I think everybody should have goals no matter what your age or skill level is. Goals drive us to push above and beyond our limits to be better than we were the day before. I always have goals and things I’m working on, it makes the process so much more fun!
3. Your Support System helps you Succeed- You need a healthy support system for success, people in your life who are your cheerleaders in your own action movie. Those people influence the way you think about what you do and who you are. Surround yourself with a healthy and positive support system that encourages you in your goals and helps you reach them not pulls you back.
