There’s an essential difference between static and dynamic core exercises, and we want to make sure we train both of them in multiple ways. That’s how we build functional fitness, not just mirror muscles.
Static core exercises: holding a position without moving, focusing on muscle activation and stabilization.
Plank and hollow holds are the best examples of this.
Dynamic core exercises: movement through a range of motion.
We use dead bug and tuck crunch/v-ups in this example but there are lots of options.
