Everything NOT Fitness

This week on everything NOT Fitness Im going to give you my top 5 Country Songs of all time! I know I know you HATE Country Music with every musical fiber of your body! But guess what? I’ve converted so many Radix Members to Country music lovers over the years you won’t be the first or last.

I start by playing it over and over again every time Im in, it slowly gets engrained in your subconscious and next thing you know your driving down the road and your mind is singing “Yeah I’m chilling on the dirt road
Laid back swervin’ like I’m George Jones” and you’ll realize in that moment Jason Aldean is your new favourite artist and Coach Dan got you hooked!

On that NOTE my Top 5 Country Songs of ALL Time (no particular order)

1. Dirt Road Anthem- Jason Aldean – Chillin on a dirt road? This man is speaking my language, then he starts to rap?! Common now it don’t get more country and ghetto than this, I love it.

2. Barefoot Blue Jean Night- Jake Owen – This was my intro to Country music and I never looked back, taking a drive to the cottage in the summer time to hang out by the fire? This is your jam!

3. Chicken Fried- Zac Brown Band- These boys are absolute legends in the game. Singing Chicken Fried with Malachi on the way to the cottage makes life worth living.

4.Last Night- Morgan Wallen- Honestly anything Morgan Wallen is fire, the best thing to happen to Country Music in a long time, this guy is beyond talented and he drops hit after hit and albums with 20+ songs.

5. It’s a great Day to be Alive- Travis Tritt – This song will always, no matter what, bring a smile to my face and positive outlook on life, I played it for the last 3 minutes of my 12 hour ride, it was a great day to be alive!

Bonus Track! Wagon Wheel- Darius Rucker – If you were a 90’s rock fan, then Hootie and The Blowfish might’ve been a favourite of yours, lead singer of Hootie was Darius and he switched gears into a full blown Country Career and this song is the heart of any country party!
