Workout like it’s your JOB!

I had a thought, what if you had to take care of yourself (health, training, nutrition, mental health) like it was your career, like you were paid to do it? How would you approach it? What would you change? How would you hire? Who would you fire out of your life?

Interesting thought right, take a second and write out the answers…
But Coach I don’t get paid to take care of myself…
I disagree, I believe you do, you just get paid or not paid in a different way.

Before we dive into that I have some fun facts for you.
LeBron James reportedly spends a whopping $1.5 million on his body every year. The two-time NBA MVP is known for following a strict diet of healthy, nutritious foods and a four-day-a-week workout routine.

Pro Golfer Rory Mcilroy has a health care staff as part his team that includes, trainers, physios, nutritionists, chefs that costs him millions a year.

But you’re not a Pro Athlete and you’re not worth 100’s of millions of dollars.

Doesn’t matter, you don’t need millions of dollars and a million specialists to have a “million dollar” self health care plan, you just have to want to do it. The information is there, the best in their fields all have a podcasts and science-based free information they are putting out to the public to grow their following, you just need to know where to look.

If you’re not taking your health as serious as a pro you will pay the price and it will cost you at some point in your life. You should be a pro in taking care of yourself and it should be a lifelong journey. If you don’t, the price maybe paid in time, or drugs, or happiness, or therapists but their will be a price to pay.

The cool thing is it’s not rocket science. Ill even give you the keys to health and longevity right now.

1. Eat Mostly Whole Foods (meat,veg,fruit,starch)
2. Sleep 8 hours/night
3. Get outside and walk in the sun
4. Weight train 3x a week
5. Do Cardio 3x a week (go fast and slow)
6. Stop, Breathe and thank God for your life
7. Love your loved ones like no one else can
