Whats NEXT?!

Happy NEW YEAR! With the New Year always comes a feeling of a fresh slate, a new beginning, with new possibilities, goals and new habits to be formed.

But how can you take all that energy and motivation and make it last for a year? Without falling off the wagon or not hitting your goals?

This year I had a couple goals I wanted to hit in a  couple different parts of my life and some were super successful and some not so much BUT one thing is for sure, the ones I didn’t hit I sure tried gave my everything to try hit them. It’s not about the outcome but about the process and whats learned from both success and failure.

One of my goals this year was to average over 20k steps a day and I managed 21 490 steps as my average which was pretty cool to see on December 31st.

So this year I want you to think about breaking down your training and nutrition into manageable blocks of time with specific goals for both in each block.

The first part of the year we are going to be focusing on getting in the best shape possible for The CrossFit Open! What is the CrossFit Open?

“Whether you consider yourself a CrossFit newbie, competitor, enthusiast, fan, or community supporter, the CrossFit Open is for you.

That’s because the Open takes on a special and unique meaning for each person who signs up. For some, the Open brings to life the why behind our daily commitment to CrossFit. Many of us came to CrossFit because we wanted more for our health and fitness, and the Open provides us with a way to stay accountable to this effort. For others, it’s a way to connect and celebrate with other CrossFit athletes within their affiliate and in other cities around the world.

While the workouts get a good effort out of everyone, for many, the motivation to participate comes from the camaraderie and support that wafts through affiliates and the worldwide community during this time of year. The shared suffering reminds us we are part of something much bigger than our individual efforts: We are part of a community that believes in the truth that CrossFit makes us — and the world — better.”

I really urge you to read this article about The Open from CrossFit HERE

I would love to have a Gym Atmosphere of Masters, Teens, RX’d, Scaled athletes signed up and repping Radix on the Worldwide leaderboard!

I love coaching these events and love seeing the PRs that come.

The cool thing? We will be preparing for it regardless in our daily training.

So what does that look like?

You will see we will be working on Muscle endurance rather than pure strength, we will focus on common movements that show up in the Open and we will be getting you in the best cardio shape ever! You’ll see you wont be resting too much in classes over the next 7 weeks.
